Mind. Body. Spirit.

I use an eclectic approach, with my primary skillset based on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. I also supplement your counselling care with aspects of Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Narrative therapy, Brief Solution-focused therapy, Adlerian therapy, Psychodynamic approach, Existentialism, and Gestalt therapy. I am able to offer support for people ages 18 and older that are experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, guilt/shame, loss, burnout, attachment concerns, toxic relationships, self-esteem issues, assertiveness, and those struggling with their sense of identity and purpose in life.

Before pursuing counselling as a career, I worked as an early childhood educator, and attained a bachelor's in psychology, with a minor in child and family development. I began training to become a psychotherapist as a mature student and it is my hope that my lived experiences can bring extra wisdom and understanding as a mental health provider. Over the course of my life, as a young person and as an adult, I have sought out the support of therapists to facilitate personal growth, and face all the big worries and feelings that come with life. As someone who has seen the benefits of counselling firsthand, I found myself drawn to the profession, to offer the support that I have found to be so instrumental and empowering in my own life.

As a therapist, I can provide a new perspective, and help you to see things in a different light. My goal is to arm you with new tools that you can use outside of sessions, to elevate your sense of awareness and autonomy in your world. In session, we will look at how to support your overall emotional well-being and how to make your daily life a little easier and more manageable. I provide a safe space for you to explore your humanity, get to know yourself better, and, if needed, reassess where you want to go in your life. Healing looks different for everyone, and I tailor and specialize my counselling to your needs. I’m here to listen to and support your therapeutic journey, in whatever that might look like for you.

You cannot change the past, but you can learn new ways to respond to it, make meaning of it, and manage the effects it has on your everyday life. I invite you to take that step to see if counselling is right for you at this moment. If you feel like we are the right fit, reach out and book a free consultation.
