ReDEFINING TRAUMA
Chantal Blackshaw
Registered Psychotherapist
Chantal Blackshaw offers a holistic approach to therapy, believing true healing requires attention to the mind, body, and spirit. She emphasizes somatic methods, understanding that traumatic or stressful experiences often leave thoughts, emotions, and sensations trapped in the body. This can cause emotional, psychological, and physical pain that lingers until it is fully processed.
With compassionate support, profound healing becomes possible. Chantal integrates powerful modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) to help process trauma at its core. She also uses Ego State Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to heal the protective and wounded parts within us. Complementing therapy with meditation, mindfulness, self-compassion, and movement practices like yoga enriches the healing journey and nurtures inner growth.
Chantal works with individuals affected by trauma—including PTSD, generational, complex, and medical trauma—as well as adults managing diabetes, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Her intuitive, calm, and gentle presence creates a safe space for all clients. She believes everyone holds the capacity to heal when given the right tools and support.
If you’re ready to dive deep and release what no longer serves you, Chantal is here to walk alongside you. Your presence here is no accident—your soul is guiding you toward the transformation needed to become who you are truly meant to be.
